This is not just an entire town, but a GHOST TOWN. Located four miles away from TEXARRAKIS, it only became a ghost town in 1991, but was bought by a group of German artist types. Unfortunately, they do not live there, they only use it as a vacation spot a few times out of the year. 

They have their own motel and swimming pool, though! An entire town as a Fort Awesome compound!

LOBO, TEXAS

This hostel in Georgia features many different structures, tree houses and geodesic domes of all varieties. Some up in trees, some at the base of trees, and some up on stilts.

Started 35 years ago on 133 acres of forest and swamp land, this Fort Awesome is nesteled into the dense, lush, sub-tropical forests of Georgia.

First, a tool in the fight against Nazis during World War II, this sea platform was occupied by Major Paddy Roy Bates in 1967, and established as a sovereign micro-nation off the shore of the United Kingdom. It has it's own flag, passport, and currency, however they are not widely used. It has it's own laws, and it's own constitution, and while not technically a sovereign nation, the British courts have ruled it is out of their jurisdiction as it is three miles off shore, and they have received a German diplomat.

This is quite a powerful Fort Awesome.

This is a hostel in Marathon, Texas which is approximately one hundred miles south of Texarrakis. Situated on the edge of Marathon in the Big Bend area of West Texas, this place is pretty awesome. First time we showed up here, they helped fill our vehicles with scrap building materials. We were stunned by the structures they had set up, amazing artistic structures, many made out of paper crete. It's very friendly and awesome here. The panoramic views are stunning (although they don't beat the panoramic views at Texarrakis (It is hard to beat the views on Texarrakis soil)). A true Fort Awesome, and one that you can stay at on bunk beds for ten bucks a night.
